The Houston Gunners team is the premier women's hockey club in the Greater Houston Area. The Gunners are comprised of skilled B/C women hockey players, competing in an Adult Recreational League as well as various local and travel tournaments.

The Houston Gunners play weekly in an adult recreational league at Memorial City Mall. Every season we compete against coed and all-male teams and have made it to the Championship game twice. Our recipe for success comes from teamwork, positional play, a good attitude, and having fun. Past accomplishments in tournaments include winning the top division of the Front Range Faceoff Women's Tournament in Denver, CO in 2005, placing 2nd in our division in the Las Vegas Women's Hockey Classic in January of 2007, and taking 3rd place in the top division of the Brew City Showdown in Milwaukee, WI in 2009. Most recently, four of our members took 1st place in the Women's Division of the STARskaters 3 on 3 tournament in Houston in September of 2009. We encourage all women to give hockey a try - once you strap on those skates for the first time, you'll be hooked! |
